Lightsworn: The Story Behind Me and Them. (Introduction)

Hey there everyone!

I know that an introduction isn't really necessary, considering you probably came here from my YouTube videos, or the link on my channel, but I'll do it anyway. Since you guys already know a lot about me, I won't go into too much detail on a lot of stuff, making this easier for me  ^_^

My name is David Abraham, and most of you (if not, all of you) know me as "BeginTheUprising" on YouTube. I make videos about the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, and been playing the game ever since LOB was released (I remember the day the packs came out and I bought one for THREE  dollars). I started playing competitively during the last Lightsworn format (a month before they got smashed by the banlist), and till this day, I still play the deck as one of my main decks.

EVERYBODY knows me for playing Lightsworn, but NOBODY knows the FULL story of why I chose to play this deck, and still play it till this day. Everyone probably thinks it's because when I started to play competitively, it was the best deck to play at the time.

They are wrong.

I didn't play this deck because it was the best deck to play at the time, or because they looked cool, and had an amazing trump card that made people shake. It's actually a lot deeper than that. Over time, and I know I am about to sound stupid for what I'm about to say, my deck and I went through some personal and dramatic situations in my life. Thanks to Lightsworns, it made my Mom and Dad temporarily stop fighting. It made my family bond closer, and we had a long talk that I will never forget for as long as I live. Thanks to Lightsworns, I realized that I should not care of what people think about me playing YGO, and to open up and tell my friends at school, as well as my girlfriend that I played. Sounds completely ridiculous, right? Well, I'm here to tell you that everything that I said is true. If you are up for it, I'll explain my ENTIRE story of how this special archetype changed me, and helped my family become closer than we ever felt before.

  1. I don't think this sounds stupid or ridiculous at all... I find it nice that you have a deeper connection with those cards. Instead of it just being a good deck.

Hope only good continues for you...
